During the Telugu marriage ceremony, Telugu brides wear a yellow saree – Two to three days before the wedding, the saree is dipped in turmeric and dried. And this is why the saree is yellow in colour (since dipped in turmeric). She also wears lot of gold jewellery on the day of the marriage.
Telugu grooms wear dhoti and a shirt or sherwani.
In Telugu culture marriage is not an agreement but bride/wife is considered to be ardhangini which means a part of husband.
